May 9, 2025 - The Financial Market Commission (CMF) invites citizens to get informed about the activities it will carry out during the year to commemorate the centennial of banking regulation and supervision in Chile.
A special section on the CMF website provides interested parties with access to the Banking Chronology, a compendium of banking information from 1743 to the present day, including the creation of the Superintendence of Banks in 1925. They can also check historical documents from over 100 financial institutions, including a list of entities by date.
The CMF Educa website houses the Virtual Museum, whose first feature is a journey throughout over 100 years of banking history with more than 1,000 advertisements published in print and digital media.
Starting in May and until the end of the year, the Commission will conduct guided visits to its Institutional Library for school and university students. Interested parties can check the CMF's historical bibliography and know available services, both on-site and online. An exhibition of historical objects used for banking regulation and supervision will also be held as part of Heritage Month activities.
