CMF grants Existence Authorization to Tenpo Bank Chile

It is the second of three stages the financial entity must complete to wrap up its establishment process pursuant to the General Banking Act.

February 3, 2025 - The Financial Market Commission (CMF) reports that it has authorized the existence and bylaws of Tenpo Bank Chile. By virtue of this resolution, the firm's provisional board of directors will begin operations, and its permanent general manager and deputy general manager be named.

The new entity's establishment process began in October 2024 by obtaining a Certificate of Provisional Authorization as per Article 27 of the General Banking Act. The final stage to get a banking license is the Operating Authorization, which Tenpo Bank Chile will obtain from the CMF upon proving it is ready to begin operations.
