CMF suspends public tenders, transactions, quotations of shares of Sartor AGF-managed funds on stock exchanges

The ban will be in effect for 30 days.

January 28, 2025 - Solange Berstein, Chairwoman of the Financial Market Commission (CMF), suspended through Exempt Resolution No. 1,217 all public tenders, transactions, and quotations of shares belonging to funds managed by Sartor AGF, firm currently under liquidation. The ban will be in effect for 30 days or until Sartor manages to correctly value the equity of its funds.

The decision was taken after receiving an Essential Fact from Sartor's liquidator on January 28, 2025, which states, "…it has been detected that the portfolios of certain managed funds may have significant impairments in their estimated valuations carried out by the firm's previous management. Although these impairments have not yet been duly quantified, the fund manager is taking necessary measures to adequately establish their scope."

Given the content of this Essential Fact, both investors and the market lack accurate, sufficient and timely information on the equity of Sartor-managed funds and, therefore, their correct valuation.
