December 6, 2024 - The Financial Market Commission (CMF) reports that the banking holiday scheduled for December 31, 2024 (Tuesday) is still in effect.

Transitory Article 1 of the Fintech Act, issued in 2023, sets forth the replacement of Article 38 of the General Banking Act once the CMF issues the corresponding regulations pursuant to the new legal text.

Given the fact that the regulations referred to in the new Article 38 of the General Banking Act have not been issued yet, the replacement of said Article is not in force.
