July 25, 2024 - The Financial Market Commission (CMF) designated its new representatives before the Interchange Rates Cap Committee (IRCC), naming Daniel Calvo Castañeda as head member and Claudia Sotelo Videla as substitute member. They replace Carolina Flores Tapia and Renzo Dapueto Rosende, respectively.
Daniel Calvo is a commercial engineer with a major in Economics from the Catholic University of Chile; a master's degree in Financial Economics from the same university; and a master's degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, in addition to a certification in Financial Risk Management granted by the GARP. Calvo currently serves as the Commission's Director of Prudential Regulation of Securities, Means of Payment, and Market Development.
Claudia Sotelo is a commercial engineer from the University of Chile and holds a master's degree from the Catholic University of Chile. Her professional experience includes heading the Technology Observatory of the Central Bank of Chile. Sotelo previously held executive positions at the Santiago Stock Exchange and CCLV Contraparte Central, where she was responsible for product development and implementation of innovative technological projects. Sotelo currently serves as Head of the CMF's Financial Innovation Center.
