June 3, 2024 - This month the Financial Market Commission (CMF) commemorates five years as an integrated financial regulator and supervisor with the mission of safeguarding the correct functioning, development and stability of the financial market for the people's benefit.

On June 1, 2019, and pursuant to Law No. 21,130 which modernized banking legislation, the CMF integrated the functions of longstanding financial market regulators and supervisors: the former SVS (Superintendence of Securities and Insurance) and SBIF (Superintendence of Banks and Financial Institutions).

The Commission currently has over 7,000 entities within its regulatory perimeter, including banks, savings and credit cooperatives, insurance companies, the securities market, and Fintech companies.

To commemorate its anniversary, the CMF has prepared an activity schedule including the launch of the Cuidando Mis Finanzas (Taking Care of My Finances) podcast, and the presentation of the 23rd Report on Gender in the Financial System both in Santiago and other regions of Chile. We invite you to check the Commission's website and social media profiles for further information.

The activity schedule is available here.
