June 21st, 2018. - The Financial Market Commission (CMF) reports that the Chairman of the CMF, Joaquín Cortez, will participate in the "Meeting of Securities Market Supervisors of the Pacific Alliance with Representatives of the Securities Market of Peru" organized by the Pacific Alliance and which will be hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Peru, and the Superintendence of Securities Market of Peru. The activity will take place in the city of Lima, Peru, on June 22nd, of this year.
The activity will be carried out as part of what was agreed at the IX Meeting of Supervisors in Mexico, held in March of this year, where the following goals were identified: contributing to the reduction of knowledge gaps among the various market participants, in terms of the progress made regarding financial integration, as well as contributing to the debate to identify the limitations, opportunities, and improvements that may be made to consolidate this initiative.
The aim during the session is that the participants of the Peruvian securities market will get to know directly on behalf of the supervisors of the countries that make up the Pacific Alliance the advances reached in matters of recognition or integration of the securities market. Furthermore, another objective is that the main actors of the Peruvian securities market share their concerns or proposals to strengthen the integration process and, as a result, design a common strategic agenda.
At the seminar, President Cortez will give a presentation about the situation and prospects of the Chilean securities market and the progress made in this integration process.
